The World Climate Summit 2014 will take place on Wednesday December 10th, 2014 in Lima, Peru at the Hilton Lima, Miraflores from 8.00am-8.00pm.

As a stop on the ‘Road to Paris 2015’, (more information available below) the agenda of the World Climate Summit 2014 (WCS2014) integrates the outcomes of previous Road to Paris events, such as the World Climate Summit 2013 in Warsaw, World Green Economy Summit 2014 in Dubai, and the World Summit of Regions on Climate 2014 in Paris. The outcomes of WCS2014 will be integral to the global Road to Paris campaign, which strives to develop the strongest multi-stakeholder platform supporting a universal climate agreement at COP 21 in Paris 2015.
The World Climate Summit (WCS) is the premier business event at the COP and this year’s summit is the 5th edition. The objectives of the World Climate Summit this year are to:

12.00-13.15 – Investing in Mountains – a Key to Meet the Global Energy Challenge By Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, SDC The workshop shall explore pathways and opportunities to promote and stimulate concrete investments for mountain-based energy generation that is clean, and supports environmental and livelihood improvements in mountain regions worldwide. It will particularly focus on developing and transition countries and on exploring the scope for concrete new public-private development partnerships.
