Global Summit on collaboration for the Sustainable Development Goals to be held in October in Copenhagen, Denmark

We are honoured to announce our collaboration with the Danish Government on the programme for the upcoming P4G Summit, which will launch the continuous P4G Initiative (Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030). The Summit will take place on the 19-20 October 2018 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The inaugural summit will gather high-level representatives including several heads of state, government representatives, dignitaries, leaders of international organisations, businesses, academic institutions, and civil society; with the intention of kick-starting a powerful global coalition of innovative partnerships for sustainable growth.

Summit Programme

The two-day event will open with a welcoming from the Danish Prime Minister, Mr. Lars Løkke Rasmussen, with parts of the programme featuring international CEO panels on the business and financial aspects of public-private partnerships.

The first day of the Summit will see thematic sessions running simultaneously across Copenhagen; focused on the SDGs of Food and Agriculture, Water, Energy, Cities, and the Circular Economy; highlighting examples of impactful partnerships and launching new partnerships within each respective area.

The second day will be hosted at the Danish Radio Concert Hall, with Heads of State keynotes and breakout sessions exploring topics related to P4G’s focus areas. These sessions will feature relevant, internationally diverse speakers to provide a global perspective on pressing climate and sustainability issues.

Throughout the two days, the P4G Summit will be the place for developing, accelerating, showcasing and awarding partnerships of significant impact, with an active effort to engage with and provide opportunities for the business and finance sectors.

“When it comes to solving global goals on sustainability and climate change,
no single person,  company, or country can do it alone.
We need to work together with the public and private sector, and civil society,
to deliver on partnerships”
– Ian de Cruz, Global Director, P4G.
